“Sounds Like Handy Tim” alias SLHT whose acronym has been somewhat jokingly misinterpreted since its’ creation back in 2017, is my own business concept. I am “Voice Over Artist” Tim Handy – alias DJ Handy Tim. In actual fact the name came about due to a calamity of earlier misinterpretations and confrontations on social media, resulting in my having to alter my original DJ Name as the “Patent Title” belonged to another DJ many miles away. Clocking in at work the next morning I saw it “Handy Tim” – and said ok that’ll do and gave it no more thought. At least that was the plan..because now the majority of people cannot seem to get the name right, even after more than a decade of association. How hard can it be? Just a name backwards? At least there is no mistaken identity!! Anyways
After later getting laid-off from that job and the one that followed due to employment procedure in the NL, I decided to quit the tedious 9-5 cycle and listen to people in my surroundings – most of them notable Film makers – and try to use my distinctive voice to make a living. Coupled with over 25 years of DJ experience, it might well be enough to pay the bills. And it was definitely becoming so before the C word arrived and put us all in a social and psychological prison for 2 years where I, and of course many others,  were stripped of our right to work and earn independently. However, we are back now as well as we can be (in this new normal malarkey) with a brand new website- courtesy of Susannah Burnette and the original logo which is the unmistakable work of Dennis Van Schie (www.dennisvanschie.nl) .
